Changing the billing cycle on a hosting service

With the exception of domain names, Google Workspace, and SSL certificates (due to third-party limitations) all our services can be billed at Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual and Annual rates. These cycles can be adjusted at any time to suit your needs, the following guide will walk through how to modify the billing cycle for your service.

cPanel Hosting

  1. Log in to VIPControl.
  2. Click the My Services link on the top → Hosting from the tabs underneath.
  3. Click Manage on the hosting plan you want to modify the billing cycle on.
  4. Either scroll down or click Billing Cycle from the menu on the left side.
  5. You can now click the Change button which will display a drop-down below.
  6. Select the new billing cycle you would like to use and then click Confirm Billing Cycle.
  7. Once clicked, the new billing cycle will be in place and will be reflected on the next due invoice for that service.
    • If an invoice is already issued for this service, that invoice will be cancelled and replaced with a new invoice for your nominated billing cycle.

Virtual Private Server (VPS)

  1. Log in to VIPControl.
  2. Click the My Services link on the top VPS from the tabs underneath.
  3. Click Manage on the VPS you want to modify the billing cycle on.
  4. Either scroll down or click Billing Cycle from the menu on the left side.
  5. You can now click the Change button which will display a drop-down below.
  6. Select the new billing cycle you would like to use and then click Confirm Billing Cycle.
  7. Once clicked, the new billing cycle will be in place and will be reflected on the next due invoice for that service.
    • If an invoice is already issued for this service, that invoice will be cancelled and replaced with a new invoice for your nominated billing cycle.

Dedicated Email

  1. Log in to VIPControl.
  2. Click the My Services link on the top Email from the tabs underneath.
  3. Click Manage on the domain that the inbox you want to modify is under, then click Manage again on the email account.
  4. Either scroll down or click Billing Cycle from the menu on the left side.
  5. You can now click the Change button which will display a drop-down below.
  6. Select the new billing cycle you would like to use and then click Confirm Billing Cycle.
  7. Once clicked, the new billing cycle will be in place and will be reflected on the next due invoice for that service.
    • If an invoice is already issued for this service, that invoice will be cancelled and replaced with a new invoice for your nominated billing cycle.

Other Services

Domain Names

All domain name registrations are locked to a minimum one-year period and are processed through a third party (known as the registry). Domain names are registered for a set period of time and VentraIP Australia does not consider a domain registration to be an automatically renewing service unless the customer has opted-in to Auto-Renewal

SSL Certificates

SSL certificates provide coverage for a set term per the certificate, ours are annual certificates. Each new SSL certificate comes with a new randomly-generated key pair – getting the SSL encryption re-generated via a new certificate is the best way to ensure your website’s security. 

Google Workspace

Google allows longer billing cycles at the side effect of lock-in contracts, to maintain our values on flexible services we can only offer the monthly billing at this current time.

Should you wish to lock-in to a longer contract, you may want to consider managing your subscription directly through Google. Contact our Accounts and Billing team if you would like to manage your Workspace directly through Google.
