checking your sites resource usage
Updated Monday December 14th 2020 / Category Web Hosting

Whilst cPanel displays some basic information in the statistics panel on the right hand side of the main page that only provides current details, to see historical resource usage to get a broader idea of how your site handles it’s tasks and traffic we’ll need to dive into the resource usage tool itself.

First login to cPanel click the resource usage app, from here you will be greeted with one of two screens, ideally you will see “Your site had no issues in the past 24 hours” this indicates that none of your resources hit their maximum allocation in the last 24 hours. Alternatively if you have hit any of your resource caps in the last 24 hours you will see a list of the resources that were impacted. From either screen you can click the “details” button in order to get graphs that you can view by timeframe and time unit to get visual representations of how your resources are being utilised.

This can be used to help determine any plan changes or website optimizations you’re evaluating.
