Describe your role/s at VentraIP Australia

At the moment I look after all aspects of the day-to-day running of the business and with a vibrant team of 50 amazing individuals, there is never a dull moment. I have a big background in customer service so still being able to offer my opinion and guidance in that area is something I absolutely love. I also run a lot of our recruitment and take care of onboarding new staff.

Where can we find you on weekends?

The running gag is that I am at either a winery or a wedding every weekend, which may or may not be true… In all honesty, I love red wine and I do often catch up with friends for a drink, which just happens to be at a winery on occasion.

How did you get the job at VentraIP Australia and how long have you been working here?

I just ticked over my 5-year anniversary in May 2019. My first interview was on Anzac day and I ended up getting offered the job on that day. I started in technical support at the same time I was trying to get a side business going building WordPress websites. Luckily for me, I always loved setting up web servers more than I did building websites, so the technical support role at VentraIP Australia was a good fit.

Unpopular opinion: What popular movie/TV show do you dislike?

I have to go with Game of Thrones, I have never really been into the whole medieval style of show. I tried watching it, but unlike some others I know, it never really hooked me in. If I battled through it a bit more who knows, maybe I would have been a fan.

What is the best part of the VentraIP Australia office?

For me, it always comes back to the team and all the people that work here. Everyone is amazing in their own ways. We all have fun, but at the same time working hard is something that you don’t really have to push people towards, they just do it. There have been times where we’ve had people from other departments jump into technical support to help out with busy periods. Just small things like that make VentraIP Australia such a great place to work.
