In 2015 we managed to exceed our own expectations in many areas while making further changes to the business that has seen customer satisfaction ratings at their highest point since we began. And once again we have a vision going in to 2016 and it’s going to be huge… in fact, some would say that it’s going to be a clash of the Titans!
This year has been our biggest in terms of acquisitions, growth and awards, with several notable events taking place, such as:
Being named on the BRW Fast 100, CRN Fast50 and SmartCompany Smart 50 lists for the first time, and being the only web host and domain name registrar on each of those lists.
Completing the acquisitions of IntaServe, 9web and GoDedicated, adding over 47,000 active services, 16,000 customers and $1.5M of annualised revenue to the balance sheet.
Moving to our new purpose-built office that is more than three times larger than the old space and will accommodate several years of future growth.
We were the first web hosting provider in Australia to offer MariaDB, OptimumCache and LiteMage on our business cPanel shared web hosting fleet.
With the positives come the negatives and unfortunately due to the fall of the AUD we were forced to close our USA business due to lower than expected demand and poor strategy. We will return to the USA market soon with a revamped strategy that we hope will deliver us more success.
Customer service review
Throughout the year we have recorded our highest levels of customer satisfaction through eTicket surveys, emails to Management and social media interactions than ever before.
As recently announced we have promoted Daniel Foenander to the role of Customer Service and Experience Manager who will bring his expertise in service delivery management and have a full technical background that will empower him to take on this challenging role in 2016.
Changes that have been made to the way our team is rostered, how we review and give feedback to our team members, and a more formalised training regiment, has provided a catalyst for change and further driven a culture shift within the company that our customers are already seeing the benefits of.
Further improvements in this area will allow us to drill down on more uncommon issues that arise and make the changes necessary to prevent reoccurrence wherever possible.
New in 2016
In 2016 we’ll be bringing our A-game as we refresh most of our hosting services with the majority of our existing product range to be grandfathered and replaced with all new services that are specifically designed for our customers and infrastructure.
With the recent appointment of Maddison Selleck as Business Development Manager you can be sure that there are some spectacular offers and promotions coming your way, which will include the third and final Ventrasaurus, a new weekly special offer, and a new initiative that will see one lucky entrepreneur awarded $25,000 cash to kick start their business idea.
