We're now an ICANN Accredited Registrar
We are very pleased to announce that in March 2012 we officially became an ICANN Accredited Registrar, the fifteenth Australian company to achieve this prestigious status.
It was a triumph to our team who worked hard to complete the application process, which took over six months from start to finish. It’s also a testament to the pedigree of the company which underwent rigorous assessment in order to satisfy the board of our good standing and technical competency.
Our ICANN accreditation joins a growing list of accreditations we have achieved in just two short years, with the following accreditations already under our belt:
- auDA for .au domains
- DNC for .nz domains
- doMEn for .me domains
- Nominet for .uk domains
- Neustar for .us domains
- BRS Media for .fm domains
- CentralNIC for .la and various other domains
- SO Registry for .so domains
- Domicilium for .im domains
Since our ICANN accreditation was approved, our team have been hard at work organising registry connectors to bring online:
- .com
- .net
- .org
- .info
- .biz
- .asia
- .name
This means that any domain names you register or transfer in to us will now use our own accreditation, through our new wholesale platform. This platform, which has been in closed beta testing for many months now, will soon be available to the general public, with existing VentraIP customers to be given first access to the system in June 2012, followed by a general release in July 2012.
We are also working hard to have a number of new domain extensions available in the coming weeks, including .ms, .tw and .tv.
