Adding a temporary URL to your website for testing

Many users opt to test their websites before modifying the name servers on their domain to point to our servers.

This allows you to develop the website, whilst the old one runs elsewhere. There are two options for such testing, one designed for novice users, and another designed for advanced users.

This is the easiest method for testing your website.

1. Login to your VIPcontrol.
2. Click the My Services > Websites & Hosting > Web Hosting
3. Hit the Manage button for the hosting service that you wish to access
4. Select the Temporary URL option from under the Configuration section on the left > Create Temporary URL

This will then provide you with a temporary URL for 7 days to test your website!

Alternatively, while more advanced, you can use the hosts file method to test your website.
