.au ID Verification Process
When registering a new .au direct domain name and .id.au, you have the ability to register your domain as an individual.
As part of auDA’s eligibility requirements, we must verify you are an Australian Resident/Citizen. This is done via our Identification Verification process.
If you have placed an order for a .id.au or .au direct domain name and have selected ‘Individual’ as your eligibility type, we will email you as part of the Identification Verification process.
This email will give you access to a unique link where you can verify your Evidence of Identity (EOI) documents. e.g. Australian Driver’s License, Passport and or Medicare Card.
PLEASE NOTE: All information is submitted via a secure web form and the data is securely transmitted to Document Verification Service (DVS) for validation. At no point do we store the data entered into the form, we’re only advised if the validation check passes or fails.
Once your supplied documents are verified, we will be able to process your registration. You will be given three checks to verify your documents. If you are unable to verify your documents within 3 attempts, your order will be cancelled.
