Setting up Email in Outlook for Windows
This guide explains how to set up your email in the New Outlook on Windows. These instructions apply to both cPanel and Dedicated Email Hosting accounts.
- If you use VentraIP Dedicated Email Hosting, enter:
ventraip.email - If you use VentraIP cPanel Hosting, enter:
mail.yourdomain.com(replaceyourdomain.comwith your domain)

Step 1: Open Outlook and Enter Your Email Address
- Note: Type in your Email Address manually, don’t use an auto-filled Suggested Account.
- Click Continue
- Click IMAP
If this isn’t the first email you are adding to Outlook: With the Outlook app open, click on the Settings Cog icon towards the top right of the app, and then Accounts → Add Account


Step 2: Enter IMAP/SMTP Server Settings
Password: your email password
Show More: Ticked ✅
Use recommended Settings: Unticked ❌
IMAP Incoming Server:
- Dedicated Email Hosting:
ventraip.email - cPanel Email Hosting:
mail.yourdomain.com(replace with your actual domain)
Port: 993
Secure Connection Type: SSL / TLS
SMTP Username: Enter your email (e.g., contact@yourdomain.com)
SMTP Password: your email password
SMTP Outgoing Server:
- Dedicated Email Hosting:
ventraip.email - cPanel Email Hosting:
mail.yourdomain.com(replace with your actual domain)
Port: 465
Secure Connection Type: SSL / TLS


Step 3: Click ‘Continue’ and Follow Any Final Personalisation or Setup Prompts
