What is a Service Health Check
What is the Health Check Tool?
The Health Check tool helps you quickly identify and fix common issues with your VentraIP services. It automatically scans your selected service and provides relevant steps to resolve any problems it finds.
Where to Find It
You can access the Health Check tool by logging into VIPcontrol and navigating to:
My Services → Health Check
From there, select your Domain or Web Hosting service and click Run Health Check.
What It Checks
Domain Health Check
Checks for common domain-related issues, including:
- Domain name expiring soon, expired, or pending deletion
- Domain in redemption grace period
- Invalid or outdated registrant details
- Registrant email matches the domain (which can cause renewal and contact issues)
- ID Protection disabled
Web Hosting Health Check
Scans for common hosting-related issues, such as:
- Disk, CPU, memory, or INODE limits being exceeded
- Mailbox quota exceeded
If You Still Have Issues
The Health Check tool is still in its early stages and currently covers only a limited range of checks.
