Fix email delivery issues with Hotmail, Outlook, or Yahoo
If your emails aren’t reaching recipients who use Microsoft email services (Hotmail, Outlook.com, Live.com) or Yahoo, our mail servers may be temporarily blocklisted by that provider.
Why this happens
Large email providers like Microsoft and Yahoo use automated reputation systems to filter spam. These systems sometimes blocklist legitimate mail servers when:
- Recipients mark emails as spam (even newsletters they subscribed to)
- A shared server sends mail that triggers spam filters
- Forwarded emails are mistaken for spam by the receiving provider
This is an industry-wide challenge that affects hosting providers globally. When it occurs, it typically impacts a small number of customers for a short period.
What we do about it
We actively monitor our mail servers for blocklisting events and work to resolve them as quickly as possible. Most issues are cleared within a few hours.
What you can do
If your emails aren’t being delivered to a specific provider:
- Check your spam or junk folder settings with the recipient
- Ask recipients not to mark your emails as spam (this trains the provider’s filters)
