Gmail for Android Email Software Setup
This guide explains how to set up your email in Gmail on Android. These instructions apply to both cPanel and Dedicated Email Hosting accounts.
Server settings
For Server/Hostname fields:
- If you use VentraIP Dedicated Email hosting, enter:
ventraip.email - If you use VentraIP cPanel Hosting, enter:
mail.yourdomain.com(replaceyourdomain.comwith your domain)

Setting up Gmail app for the first time
- Open Gmail and Add Account
- Click on your Profile Picture at the top right
- Click ‘Add another account‘

- Click ‘Other (IMAP)’ and Enter your email address

- Enter Incoming Server Settings:
- Username: Enter your full email address (e.g., user@vipguides.au)
- Password: Enter your email password (Forgotten password? Click here to reset)
- IMAP Server:
Dedicated Email Hosting:ventraip.email
cPanel Email Hosting:mail.yourdomain.com(replaceyourdomain.comwith your actual domain) - If asked:
- Port: 993
- Security Type: SSL/TLS
- Click ‘Next‘
- Enter Outgoing Server Settings:
- Username: Enter your full email address (e.g., user@vipguides.au)
- Password: Enter your email password (Forgotten password? Click here to reset)
- SMTP Server:
Dedicated Email Hosting:ventraip.email
cPanel Email Hosting:mail.yourdomain.com(replaceyourdomain.comwith your actual domain) - If asked:
- Port: 465
- Security Type: SSL/TLS
- Click ‘Next‘

- Switch to your new account:
In Gmail, you’ll be able to switch between your newly added account, personal Gmail accounts and any other accounts by clicking on your Profile Picture at the Top Right.
