Upgrade from Self-Managed VPS to a Fully-Managed VPS
Upgrading your Self Managed VPS to a Fully Managed VPS is possible, but the current VPS you are using will not be the one that is upgraded.
How does the upgrade process work?
You will need to purchase a new VPS on the Fully-Managed tier, which will be provisioned using a specific “Fully-Managed” profile so that it’s running our set configuration from the get-go. No custom configurations or applications outside of the ones we provide will be carried over.
You can purchase a Fully-Managed VPS via our website here.
Once the new Fully-Managed VPS is provisioned, kindly submit an eTicket to our team requesting the migration. We will liaise with you to arrange a time to migrate your cPanel accounts across to the new server.
This is generally done within a few days of the new server being provisioned but can be scheduled for a later date if required.
Post Migration
Once you are all satisfied that it’s been brought across, you will then be free to repurpose the Self-Managed server, or if no longer required, you can cancel the VPS to have it closed down.
After cancellation, any time paid on your former SMVPS will be prorata refunded and applied as credit to your account.
Anything else I should know?
