Cancelling a Microsoft 365 Service

Note: The below advise only applies for customers who have purchased Microsoft 365 through VentraIP. If your Microsoft 365 subscription is not held with VentraIP please contact Microsoft or your reseller.

Cancelling a Microsoft 365 subscription is an entirely automated process; you may complete this via VIPcontrol. To cancel a Microsoft 365 Subscription, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Login to VIPcontrol
  2. Navigate to My Services → Email → Microsoft 365 and click on ‘Manage’ next to the service you are looking to cancel.
  3. Click on Delete subscription → Cancel Subscription.

Nothing further is required at this point. The service will remain active for the remainder of the paid term before cancellation.

Can I recover the service after cancellation?

Microsoft maintains a 90-day retention period for customer data, and as such, if you purchase the same SKU (product) within this period, your data and user license agreements should be automatically restored.

If it has been more than 90 days, your service will be unrecoverable and all data will be erased.
