Restoring Databases Using Acronis Backup

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Select Acronis Backup.
  3. You will see a list of available backup points and times. Select a time that you would like to restore back to.
  4. The backup point should start loading (1-2 minutes). Once loaded, select ‘Databases’.
  5. From the list of databases, select the database and click ‘Recover’
  6. A confirmation dialogue box will pop up. You have a couple of options to select depending on the situation:
    • Restoring an existing database: We recommend adding a suffix to the restored database, which restores the database to a new database. This is optional but you will then be able to revert to the previous database if needed.
    • Restoring a deleted database: No other options needed, you will have to assign the database user after recovery.
  7. Once you’ve made your selection, click ‘Start Recovery’.
  8. You may now wait for your database to be restored. If you would like to check the progress click the Recovery Operation log tab up the top, this will show you if the restore is in progress or completed. Once completed the orange “In Progress: Recover databases” will change to a green box that says “Succeeded: recover Databases

That’s it! Your database and all its data have been successfully restored!

Post restore
